Spider Gates

Spider Gates
Is a small Quaker owned graveyard settled snugly into the woods of Leicester, MA
a bordering town of Worcester.
Properly known as Friends (or Quaker) Cemetery, it's a humble and somewhat scenic little place surrounded by trees, trails, swamps, a brook running nearby connecting to a good sized pond, and filled with aged gravestones dating as far back as the 1700's.
As aged and remote cemeteries often do, Spider Gates gained a haunted reputation over the years. Individual accounts got passed around, and common legends took root.
When the stories began or what sparked them, who can tell? By the time I heard of Spider Gates in the early 90's, Spider Gates sinister reputation was already set in stone.
To listen to most at that time, Spider Gates wasn't just haunted - it was demon possessed.
The whirlwind of stories going around about the place include but aren't limited to; spirit hauntings, cult activity, gang activity, murders, ritual animal sacrifice, various disappearances, demon possessions, portals to hell, gateways to Styx, vanishing and reappearing graves, maddening voices and sounds, and the list goes on.
For one reason or many, Spider Gates transcended the typical small town haunt in infamy.
I've gotten e-mail from people who've been hearing about Spider Gates for years, even outside of New England.Be it the power of suggestion or powers yet unmapped by science, Spider Gates tends to leave an impression on those who visit, and the enthusiastic word travels further and quicker than the normal...

Balete Drive

Balete Drive.
is a street located in New Manila, Quezon City, Philippines.
It is known for apparitions of a white lady and haunted houses which were built during the Spanish Era (1800s).
New Manila has an abundance of balete trees, which, according to legend, is a favorite spot of wandering spirits and other paranormal beings.
Paranormal experts believe that the white lady was raped by Japanese soldiers during the Second World War, which differs from the movie.
Witnesses of the white lady, advise motorists to avoid the street at night, especially if they are alone. If it is necessary to travel the route, they advise that the backseat of the car is fully occupied and that no one should look back or look in any mirrors.
The apparition wears a night gown, has long hair but has no face or one covered with blood.

The Drive

Here's my experience with Balete drive in the 80's.
It was about early morning around 2.
I was driving back home from Club Dredd on Quezon Ave.
I weird decision I made to take the back roads,
instead of just taking Edsa to Mandaluyong City.
I got lost around Balete and I couldn't find my way out from
that spooky place with big trees and old houses.
I keep going back to where I started a gas station on the corner of Balete Drive.
And for the 4th time,
I decided to ask the store keeper that
I got lost without telling him what I have just experience.
He told me the right way to Mandaluyong.

Central Philippine University

Bad Girls and the Bathroom Ghost.
I was a student at the Central Philippine University in 1985. I had two best friends, Marie and Jacky.
We were considered “the bad, but cool, girls.”
It wasn’t easy to join our group, nor were we looking for additional members.
We enjoyed ourselves being “bad” girls – well not the kind that you probably would have in mind. We were still conservative in our unique ways.

Anyway, we always frequent the girl’s restroom for a make over, smoke and the usual gossip. One day, on one of our routine smoking sessions, a girl we never saw before came in and started fixing her hair.
She totally ignored us – that was disrespectful! We were furious at her audacity, for no one - and I mean no one - would dare come in the girls' room when we were in there.

We stared at her hard but she, apparently, wasn’t intimidated at all. So Jackie, being the most assertive of us, nudged her and went with her face close to her cheek. The room became so silent, you could literally hear a pin drop.
It was a tense moment and we were all at the edge of our breaths.
Then suddenly, the stranger turned her head sharply toward Jackie! Jackie screamed, and that led to a chain reaction of screams from Marie and me as well.
Jackie jolted backwards and nearly tripped over my foot.

We stood there in horror! Was she going to hurt us?
Were we doomed for all the things we had done against many girls like her?
These questions went through our minds equally.
We stood there staring at her face which was blue, and her eyes were bloodshot and popped halfway out of the sockets!

It is the most horrendous, most scary thing I have ever seen in my life! I've been scared by sights in the movies but nothing beats this!

After that incident, we stopped using the girls' room as often, and vowed not to bully anyone anymore.

Apparently, others have also seen the “ghost-girl” but only as a reflection in the mirror.

Filipino Ghost Story

The Campus Imp.

I was teacher at Central Philippine University. One night, reluctantly, I worked late to prepare the next day's test paper. It was well known that the campus was haunted and true to the accusation, strange things did take place that night.

There I was, in my class, minding my work when I heard a “thud” sound coming from upstairs. I thought, maybe some unlucky soul had to work late as well.
Feeling glad I wasn’t the only one, I felt save and comfortable, I went on working.
Minutes of serenity passed, then, I heard someone running on the floor above.
I wasn't scared, but was curious to see who was this comrade of mine. So, I got out of my class and made my way upstairs. I saw that the lights were switched on.
I thought that was a good sign - it showed that someone was indeed there and that I wasn’t imagining the noise. I looked through the window but saw no one. I called, “hello, hello, anyone there?” but there was no reply.
I tried to open the doors but they were locked. I looked a bit more and then gave up, thinking the person could have gone away for a bite or something.
I went back downstairs to my work.

Later, about half an hour or so, I heard a laughter. It was a child like, high pitched, laughter! Then, I began to get spooked; lots of things went through my mind. But I wasn't going to conclude anything until I saw with my own eyes what it was.
I dumped all my things in my bag, carried it with me and went upstairs again.

What I saw, almost gave me a heart attack! I saw a little hairy thing running across the classroom then disappeared in thin air! I swear it was real!
I only saw it’s hairy back. It was around 3 to 4 ft in height. At first, I thought it was a chimpanzee but it was upright, ran on two legs like a little child and it didn’t have long “chimp” arms.

The part that got me to run like hell was its sudden vanishing! It, literally, disappeared right before my eyes!

He Is Supernatural

Carlos Augusto Santana Alves (born July 20, 1947 in Autlán de Navarro, Mexico ) is a Grammy Award-winning Mexican rock musician and guitarist. He became famous in the late 1960s and early 1970s with his band, Santana, which created a highly successful blend of rock, blues, salsa, and jazz fusion. The band's sound featured his melodic, blues-based guitar lines set against Latin percussion such as timbales and congas. Santana continued to work in these forms over the following decades. He experienced a sudden resurgence of popularity and critical acclaim in the late 1990s. Rolling Stone also named Santana number 15 on their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time in 2003.

Supernatural

This picture was taken by Tony O'Rahilly in 1995, as Wem Town Hall, Shropshire, England, burned down. The girl in the doorway was not seen at the time the photo was taken. When examined by photographic expert Dr. Vernon Harrison, former president of the Royal Photographic Society the photo was deemed genuine, in that it was not tampered with. In 1977 there was another fire in this place, started accidentally by a young girl by the name of Jane Churm. Is this her ghost

Do you believe in Supernatural?

Did you ever experience when you step inside a house,
you have a feeling that you've been watch?

Our Brown Eyes

My cousin will kill me if he sees his pic on my blog but
I'm glad he doesn't know that I have a Blog (he's wearing a dark shirt).
My step father was one of the first Overseas Filipino Contract Workers (OFCW),
or OCW in the Philippines.
A famous tone in every household in the Philippines during the 70's.
Martial Law was still alive but democracy was still being practice in the Philippines.
1/2 of the population were jobless and there were no taxes to collect.
But the Marcos regime finally decided it is time to act before the economy collapse but to twist the twisted economy.
He decided to export Filipinos all over the world like a produce sold by bulk and the more they ordered the more almighty dollars are being sent back to the Philippines.
But almost 1/2 of the reserve dollars are being kept overseas banks by the Marcos cronies but that was history.
The unsung heroes of the Philippines can now sing without having to sweat on stage and to be paid with honors and respect.
They contributed to the stabilization of the Philippine economy,
The remittances that they sent 24/7/365 are the back bone of the Filipino economy.
Almost $12.7 Billion remittances from last year and the fifth recipient of foreign remittances in the world.
But with the United States in recession will this democratic/Catholic nation
of Southeast Asia survived the greed of Wall Street.

Boston, Back Bay
by Terra Galleria

I used to live in Back Bay.
It was pretty damn cold but with a class.
I shoveled and put a chair on it.
A chair that means a lot,
when you need a spot to pak the cah.
I moved away then came back
then moved again and never come back.

Recession 2008

America is no longer the hub of economic progress.
Wall Street sold America $700 billions dollars of bad debt, sub-prime mortgages, insurance scams and individual retirement accounts.
This $700 billion bail out plan of the Bush administration cannot guarantee economic progress in the coming years but might destroy forever the economy of this great nation.
Greed of Wall Street is the demise of the American people.
Thousands lost their jobs and will continue to fall in line in the unemployment for the coming years.
I am no longer alone with my demise of the almighty dollar. Americans who suffered financially will now suffer tremendously, for banks and other financial institutions will also suffer from this great depression.
America dragged the Philippines and the world in credit crunch, the poor will be more poorer and the rich will be richer.
The export businesses in the Philippines will lose 120,000 jobs if this Greed will not fade away.
Why do the average American has to bail out the people who created these problems?
I will understand how the world will treat America in the future.
I cannot understand why Physicists and Mathematicians can control the behavior of the consumers.
Numbers are not meant to solve progress but are only numbers that no one can understand.
Wall Street is to blame.
